Share files by e-mail

You can share documents or folders with other people by e-mail.


  1. To do so, click on the "Share" icon to the right of the folder or file you wish to share.



  1. Enter the e-mail address of the person to whom you wish to send the link.



  1. Then select the desired sharing rights from the following options:



View only : only allows reading only.

Allow upload and editing : assigns the modification rights.

File drop : only concerns directories, allows you to share a folder to a person so that they deposit data without seeing the content.


  1. Custom permissions allow you to refine the sharing properties :


Share label : allows you to give a name to the link (optional).

Password protect : allows you to set a password for the link.

Set expiration date : automatically deletes the link on a set date.

Hide download : removes the "Download" button for the recipient of your link.

Note to recipient : adds a note to the recipient.

Customize permissions : allows you to fine-tune the rights given to the above options (read-only, add/edit, file deposit).


Once the options have been selected, they must be saved by clicking Save share.


An email is sent automatically, allowing the person to access the shared documents.



  1. Clicking on the ... to the right of the sharing link also allows you to interact with it :


Customize link : opens personalized permissions.

Unshare : deletes the link.
