Using Veeam with Leviia
Objective
This documentation aims to show you how to optimize the performance of your Veeam backups with Leviia.
Prerequisites
Having created an identifier on the Leviia dashboard
Having created a bucket on the Leviia dashboard
Having downloaded Veeam Backup & Replication V12
Having created a backup repository on Veeam
Enable object locking on your bucket
If you want to enable immutability on your bucket, it must be configured according to this procedure in order to make it compatible with Veeam.
Create multiple Leviia identifiers
Our anti-abuse system works by identifier, we recommend you to create several so as not to have all your buckets associated with the same identifier.
Distribute your backups across multiple buckets
Multiple backup jobs should not be performed on the same bucket. It is important to always associate a backup job with a different bucket.
Increase block size to 4MB
It is possible to increase the block size to 4MB. To do this, go to the properties of your backup jobs.
In the window that opens, go to Storage and click on Advanced.
On the new window, go to the Storage tab and change the Storage optimization option to 4MB.
Save the change.
