Iperius Backup: connect your Leviia object storage (S3 compatible)
To connect Iperius Backup to your Leviia object storage space, you must first create an identifier and a bucket. For your information, the free version of the software does not allow you to use the S3 protocol for your backups, but a 21-day trial period gives you access to the software's advanced features.
- Open Iperius Backup and create a new backup set.
- In the Items tab, click on the icon to add a folder or file.
- In the window that opens, click on "Select" and browse for the file or folder you wish to save. For this example, we've created a folder called "Iperius Backup". Confirm by clicking on "Ok".
- Go to the Destinations tab and add a destination to the cloud.
- On the window that opens, click on the icon for adding an account, then enter your S3 account information as below:
Name : enter a name for your backup, for this example we'll use "Test Iperius S3".
Type : S3.
Access Key ID : the access key for your identifier, which you will find on the dashboard in the "identifiers" section.
Secret Access Key : the secret key of your identifier that you will find on the dashboard in the "identifiers" section.
Service Point (URL) : the server address that you will find on the dashboard in the "Endpoint" section.
Signature version : v4
Leave the "Use SSL" option checked and click "Save".
- Then click on OK.
- Click on "Next".
- The schedule window allows you to schedule your backups; for this example, we've left it blank.
- The options window allows you to send yourself an e-mail at the end of the backup; for this example, we've left it blank.
- The backup set summary appears, click on "OK".
- The set backup set appears, you can launch it manually by clicking on "Launch selected backup set".
- The backup starts and the window warns you when it has finished.
You've just set up a backup set with Iperius Backup by connecting it to your Leviia object storage space.
