Android: synchronize your photos and documents

  1. Once the Android application installed on your phone, click on: the Menu icon > Settings > Auto upload.

  1. Then click on the Cloud icon next to the folder name to activate automatic synchronization. The "..." icon (next to the folder name) lets you enter the synchronization parameters.

  1. If the folder you are looking for is not among those proposed, click on the three dots at the top and then on Set up a custom folder to define it manually.

Here are the possible options for automatic uploading, accessible by clicking on the "..." icon (located next to the folder name) and then "Configure" :

  1. Activate the option or not
  2. **Remote folder **: choose the destination folder in your Drive where the photos will be sent. You can keep the name “InstantUpload” or choose another one (e.g. Android photo backup)
  3. Only upload on unmetered Wi-Fi : option to activate according to your throughput, to optimize the upload according to your network.
  4. Only upload when charging : option to activate according to your charge level, to avoid any cut in case of low battery level.
  5. Also upload existing files : option to activate if you want
  6. Use subfolders : your files will be filed in folders that match shooting dates. This setting is useful if you want to sort your files automatically when uploading.
  7. Original file will be... : choose to keep a copy locally or if the file is deleted from your phone once the upload is completed. If you don’t have much space, prefer the option of not keeping the original.
  8. What to do if the file already exists? Allows you to choose which file to keep between what’s already on your Drive account and what you have locally.
