# Use the Polls app on your instance

The **Polls** application allows you to easily create and share questionnaires or online votes to collect feedback from users collaboratively.
To access the **Polls** app, click on the application icon located at the top left of the interface:

# Create a Poll

1. Click on the **New Poll** button located at the top left of the interface, then choose a **Title** and **Poll type**, and click **Add**:
* **Text poll**: Free text (custom choices)
* **Date poll**: Dates/times (meeting scheduling)

2. In the **Configuration** tab, add a description (optional) and adjust the configuration options:

* You can set an expiration date for the poll as well as automatic reminders:

* You can choose whether to show or hide the results from other poll participants:

3. Add the poll options by clicking on the **Options** tab:

* **Date poll** example:

# Share a Poll

You can share the poll internally or via a public link by clicking on the **Sharing** tab:

* ${color}[#ff0000](**[ 1 ]**) Internal sharing with instance users
Enter the username in the search bar and check **Internal access** so that the poll is visible to all users.
* ${color}[#ff0000](**[ 2 ]**) Public link (for external participants)
Click **+** to create a public link, then edit the link information by clicking **...**, and finally click **Copy link to clipboard** to share it by email, for example:

# View Results

Open the poll you wish to view: results are displayed in real time and can be exported if needed.
