# Show user availability in the calendar

On your instance, it is possible to view a user’s availability when adding them as a participant to an event.

1. Log in to the web interface of your instance and open the **Calendar**.

2. Create a new event in your calendar, then click **More details**.

3. Enter the name of a user from your instance to add them as a participant.
In this example, we are adding the account **“Accountant”**

4. Click the **Find a time** button.

5. A window will open showing the availability of the selected participant. You can therefore choose another time slot in case a participant is unavailable
In this example, we can see that the user **“Accountant”** is busy from **9:00 to 11:00**, and again from **3:00 to 4:00 PM.**

When logged in as the **“Accountant”** account, the calendar correctly displays the appointments scheduled during those time slots.
