Mac: Understanding the synchronization statuses of the Leviia application.
Introduction.
This documentation explains how synchronization statuses work in the Leviia application on Mac.
When creating a synchronization with virtual files mode, the synchronized files do not take up any space on the hard drive.
If you want to keep files locally so that you can access them even without an internet connection, they can be downloaded locally.
Prerequisites.
You must have installed the Leviia application on your Mac by following these instructions: link.
You must have created a synchronization: the Leviia directory should appear in the Locations category of your Finder.

Definitions of synchronization statuses.
The cloud symbol visible next to a file or directory means that it is in virtual file mode.
The data does not take up space on your Mac's hard drive. However, if your internet connection is interrupted, this data will no longer be accessible.

When a file does not have this symbol, it is made available locally. It takes up space on your Mac's hard drive, but remains accessible even without an internet connection.

Change the synchronization status.
There are several ways to change the synchronization status of your data.
Right-clicking on a file brings up the Download option.
This will download the selected file. This can also be done on a directory, in which case the effect will apply to all the data contained in that directory.

Conversely, to free up local space if your data is taking up too much space on your hard drive. Right-clicking on a file will allow you to stop downloading it using the Remove download option.

Steps to follow if you are unable to change the synchronization status of your data
If you are unable to change the synchronization status of your files from the Finder, you can check the permissions for the Leviia application.
To do this, open your Mac's system settings, go to Privacy & Security, Full Disk Access, and check the Leviia app.
If the application is already checked, you can close this window.
If the application does not appear in the list, click the + button, search for Leviia among your applications, and click Open.
