# Iperius Backup: connect your Leviia object storage (S3 compatible)

| To connect Iperius Backup to your Leviia object storage space, you must first create an [identifier](https://wiki.leviia.com/en/article/create-object-storage-identifier-in-your-leviia-dashboard-1as7ljn/) and a [bucket](https://wiki.leviia.com/en/article/create-a-bucket-on-your-leviia-dashboard-h47vp5/). For your information, the free version of the software does not allow you to use the S3 protocol for your backups, but a 21-day trial period gives you access to the software's advanced features.

| Iperius Backup currently supports only version 2 of the signature when connecting to your Leviia object storage space.
